Following his submission loss to the Dagestan phenom at UFC 229 in October, the Irishman is now willing to face whoever is ‘next in line’.

There’s no shortage of opponents.

And the man with the most wins in UFC history has – once again – put his proverbial (cowboy) hat in the ring.

Yes, you guessed it – Donald Cerrone wants a piece of McGregor, saying he’s ‘waiting on him’.

‘Cowboy’ posted a picture of himself alongside McGregor on social media, accompanied with the words: “Just waiting on him! ‘I know a guy'”.

At ‘UFC Fight Night: Korean Zombie vs. Yair Rodriguez’, Cerrone recorded his 21st UFC victory by submitting Mike Perry.

After stopping the welterweight, Cerrone is planning a lightweight venture in his next fight with McGregor on his cross-hairs.

The 35-year-old is a UFC/WEC veteran. He made his UFC debut in 2011 and remains one of the top dogs in the promotion.

However, he’s been guilty of bottling it on the big stage. Whenever he’s stepped up competition, Cerrone has failed to produce losing to the likes of Nate Diaz, Anthony Pettis, Jorge Masvidal, among others.

Not to mention getting beat up Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC lightweight title in 2015.

What’s more, McGregor and Cerrone have beef.

Back in 2015 at ‘UFC’s Go Big Press Conference’, McGregor and Cerrone hilariously exchanged words

McGregor vs. Cerrone..?! Make it happen, Dana White.
