Alexis Sánchez Has Been Acting Strangely With Chile And Its Not Gone Unnoticed

Alexis Sánchez is not having a happy time at Manchester United and his future at Old Trafford continues to be up in the air.

The 29-year-old former Arsenal star, who apparently has only three friends at the Red Devils, has been linked with an exit and recent reports suggest he would want a move to Paris Saint-Germain in January.

However, it seems that his bad luck is translating to his time with the Chile national team.

La Tercera (via Sport Witness) reports that Sánchez and Arturo Vidal are considered to be two of the senior figures in the squad.

While the Barcelona star has continued to be a vocal figure in the national team’s training sessions, the United forward seems to be a shadow of his former self.

“Far from that rude leader, a silent Alexis Sanchez,” writes Cristian Barrera. “The Manchester United striker is silent, something that is repeated with his weak presence in the Premier League. And although in Pinto Durán he has always been one of the most reserved, yesterday he was even more so.

“After the session ended, the former Udinese player went to sit on one of the benches near the training pitches. He was alone for at least half an hour, while, for example, [César] Pinares, [Óscar] Opazo, [Nicolás] Castillo and [Lorenzo] Reyes played tennis-soccer.

“Only at the end Junior Fernandes approached, perhaps one of his greatest friends football has given him. From the Chilean camp people tell that Alexis is undoubtedly seen as a leader in football, within the pitch, but little in the group.”

Does Sánchez have a future at United?
